Cabin as purchased

There is a barn.

The cabin, although modernized with electricity, telephone, cable and water the cabin still is primarily heated with a large centrally located wood stove installed in the 1980’s.  Seems to be plenty of wood stocked up.  More in the barn!

The kitchen area includes a large wood cook stove rumored to have been salvaged from swan’s toll house. Cook stove detail.

Remnants of the "refrigerator room" remain visible in the attic above the kitchen.

The interior is whitewashed wood paneling in most of the cabin with darker wood in the downstairs bedroom.  Looking through kitchen to front

The aluminum roof on the house replaces the original shingles, but the rounded eaves of shaped water-soaked shakes still grace the front.

Double pane windows were installed throughout most of the cabin by the previous owners.

The front deck railing with carved redwood 4x4 spindles was added at some point

The sleeping area upstairs is a dorm like arrangement which can be segmented by curtains. bunks

The west porch door seems to be the main entrance; it enters between the front room and kitchen area.  The north side door enters the front room.  The south (back) porch is the main entrance in the winter when the snow drifts block the north side of the house!
