Systems Engineering is an iterative functional analysis, design synthesis and validation process where source requirements are first understood, a notional architecture (physical and behavioral) is developed, the functions are allocated to the architectural implementation and the design is validated against the requirements. This is repeated at each successive level of the system as functional (requirements), behavioral (Opscon) and architectural decomposition. |
